1.0.2 Patch Notes

You’re still new to fol I see😈

ToL the videogame =/= FoL though

I’m not balancing the game for FoL

Finding scum on Day 2 is not an uncommon occurrence, especially in a game where you have Power Investigatives.

The Prince will be forced to jail a scum player N2 just to listen to them mock and laugh at the execution-less Prince until N3 comes around. The Prince must waste an entire night to occupy the scum player and wait for his eventual execution on N3.

I know what you’re going to say - “Then just hang the scum player during the day!”

The real point here is this is an enormous buff to the Fool which indirectly buffs the scum teams. This change will encourage Jestering Day 2 because the Fool knows they cannot die that night. If scum do get caught Day 2 (which happens much more often than people imagine), they can just jester their way out of executions for a day, which is a big deal. Every night is crucial in this game.

Considering the prince and knight both pay a heavy price if wrong, it seems fine to me if they kill day 2

Just making a point that scum reads can work

I’m not changing it back. If you want it to be different in FoL, then talk to the people running the games.

Yeah but it’s not “fine” for the rest of the BD.
Prince losing his exes cause he just YOLOs N2 is NOT good for BD.

Knight Cold Steeling randomly N1-N2 cause “maybe he can get assassin or neutrals” is NOT good for BD as he’ll most likely cause his own death.

Usually Prince, Knight and Hunters who kill N1 or N2 do it as a “YOLO” strategy, cause they don’t care. (Or cause they’re trolling)
It’s really no good point in letting them be able to YOLO kill people.

I just think that using it early on is OP. If there is a priest alive which has to consider let’s say a Paladin and an Observer, what would they wish to sacrifice in order to bring victory to the BD.

The 2 for 1 sounds like something only they can use when theres no MM and back up support member left actually.

Well, then you hope for good team mates :man_shrugging:

I was using fol as an example of why bd should be allowed to pursue scum reads. After all, the delay only benefits evil classes. Which I guess might he the intention

I like all the changes, but I do not think that the restriction on CS/wolf/execute should be until n3, but instead n2.

Specifically, hunter takes longer to kill, so this greatly weakens them. Otherwise, very good.

I can’t wait to see the 0 instances this BD killing nerf will ruin the chances of BD winning.

On the other hand, there won’t ever be instances of trolls just random killing instead of playing properly… Which is sad to see gone :disappointed_relieved:

I predict there will be more incorrect bd kills day 3 because of this, as killing classes panic about having to make a difference now, as time is short.

I don’t think it will be that bad, but imagine this scenario:

D2, someone is accused
they claim prince, but aren’t
real prince has to wait 2 days to do anything

See it like this;
BD killings who attack someone N1 or N2 are either trolls who want to cause chaos, or they’re following the YOLO strategy which mostly ever harms BD.

What this update does is make these “strategies” impossible

And since I’ve understood you play more FoL than ToL… You can just make it so BD can kill whenever instead of having this anti-troll wait. Since I assume FoL has less trolls.

LMAO that’s such an awful strategy??
Cause a false Prince claim can just be executed by REAL prince later.

ALSO UNSEEN AND CULT AND NEUTRAL KILLERS WOULD WANT HIM DEAD AS THEY’D THINK HE’S THE REAL PRINCE THERE’S NO WINNING

I agree, night 1 kills from bd should be stopped, but night 2 is fair game. Is it really widespread that people YOLO kill all the time?

-cult game-

guarantees life for 2 days at D2, might be a bad strategy, but prince shouldn’t be so crippled.
