Wouldn’t that give away there is a Fool? Its not “Something prevented you from visiting them.”?
Priest removal must have been a hard decision, but it feels right. Whoever rolled Priest had nothing to worry about all game and then pushed a button to skyrocket BD’s win rate.
Noble looks fun now.
That is exactly what it is.
can this be tested with a steam beta code already or is it only an internal test?
Wait a second! Does this mean that the drunk can now prevent cult conversion?
actually I’d say more on the opposite.
15 claims drunk, says he debauched 3 N2. Anyone who visited 3 on night 2 would know that’s a total lie.
On second thought this isn’t a big deal. The cult leader will always know who the drunk is after this happens and can kill/convert him the next night.
I dont think that giving psychic the ability to speak with the dead is smart,
he doesnt have time to talk there…
That is true but it is still VIABLE. Before there would definitely be someone to call you out.
It’s all in one big chat. He spends the whole time talking there.
it looks like he’s linked to the dead, and his target and no one else. So the person he’s linked to gives his claim, and the dead throw in all the information, the other person linked also can share the info that the dead threw out without outing the psychic.
Btw if people are worried about the psychic dying N1 (Im not) then making link minds usable once or twice while dead could work.
Realistically, Psychic need to be alive to make linking minds work.
These are very valid points that should be discussed imo
My initial thoughts:
Court Wizard - seems very weak now. Only ever being able to barrier someone once seems like a giant nerf. Maybe add barrier back but only allow it to target one person, and not the same person consecutive nights in a row. Also why are you nerfing Court Wizard if BD only had 30% win rate? Sounds like they need a buff (which I don’t believe is true, I think many players are just not good at the game and don’t really know how to play BD well).
Fool - So let me get this straight, your logic behind removing fool’s occupy (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, fool didn’t really need fireworks, but the logic is flawed) was because bad players make bad decisions? What? I’ve seen prince execute many BD’s, might as well take away Prince’s ability to execute with that logic.
King - I like this change a lot, but that’s only because I think BD has the advantage. Again, if BD is only winning 30% of the time why buff evil king? Don’t change this though, people just don’t know how to play BD yet. If they did BD would have a much higher win rate than 30%.
Mastermind - good change.
Psychic - good change.
Physician - You removed the priest and added reanimate… considering healers were just massively buffed and have a much better chance of being in the game (so a lot of games will have 2 physicians) this sounds like it may be OP. 2 people being able to revive 2 bd is very strong. Revived is a confirmed BD and cannot die for 3 nights. I don’t think devs realize how powerful this is. I also don’t know if it was just missing from the patch notes, but successfully protecting a target as a DK should kill the DK. Don’t forget the 2 physicians can now also recharge each other’s reanimate skill.
But they’re forced to die after 3 nights. That’s their drawback.
Only problem I see is CWs new ice ward. I mean man times do you heal somebody randomly before it’s actually needed. 1 IW for any given person will hardly be useful. You’ll always guess wrong early game and late game you’ll have used them up for everybody that is alive probably. I say give IW 3 to 5 charges, used on anybody, and when IW runs out, you can use recharge on other people or use recharge to give yourself another IW. Late game you’d still be able to use it on allies that are alive, but it’s not op since you’d have to recharge every other turn. That would make cw more fun ALL GAME.
Telling you, IW will be just like heal where you always guess wrong. But at least heal you can keep using. Once you’ve used your 1 IW on everybody that’s alive, the fun ends.
Well it certainly clears the room, we’ll have to see it in action to really judge how good/bad it can be, the big thing that has me wory is the possiblity of multiple revives. 2 phys’s alive at day 5ish… you’re looking at 2 immortal guardians, both being confirmed BD, able to protect 2 people etc…
That being said, the life clock is a good adjustable feature, they could cut a day out of it if it’s too strong, What I must say I love about ToL. Is the updates are coming out often enough that when mistakes are made, we can count on them being fixed within the week.
Still extremely powerful. You don’t really need that many days late game. Usually a revived person would be killed very shortly after they are revived, as they cannot be converted, but now that can’t happen. We’ll see how it plays out, but being able to revive 2 BD in a game, then recharge for 4 total… even after dying 3 nights later, super OP.
I feel like you just ignore half the things written. BD currently has a 60% win rate.
The Fool change wasn’t just because of bad plays, but part of the reason.
Don’t forget the 2 physicians can now also recharge each other’s reanimate skill.
What are you even talking about?
