Pretty cool patch note, happy to see new colors for the death note :blush: ! But sad to see death knight removed :frowning:

I think my biggest complaint has to be Icy Touch. Since you no longer talk to the dead, you basically have to sit around and do nothing.

From my experience in Town of Salem, it really sucks being unable to do anything and being forced to be an observer, while having to interaction whatsoever.

Icy Touch always felt okay to me since there was someone to interact with, but now it’s just a plain blackmail.

Reaper being the only way to communicate with the dead would be okay, and interestibg, but also a possible downside

Also, I just had another game where I had the prince as my contract and they just claimed BD even though I had just confirmed myself. That’s a bit unfair

Actually it is. You can get 2 claims from it in a single night.

But would you really claim to some random other guy?

It’ll be more focused on communication between people that are already outed than being Prince Lite™

I know. That’s why the ability exists. However it’s limited and the current link is fine to go along with it for early game.

Personally I would want conduit to have more uses but it’s otherwise fine

I’d rather have Conduit replace Link Minds entirely.

We don’t need a worse Prince.

I’d still like to make it a Neighborizer.

Agreed, and that’s why I was so happy with the change. That’s what I thought it was.

tbh Linked minds is kinda… eh in late game. Useful for confirming psy’s unconverted but that’s about it.

Love everything but princess and mystic changes losing call of the dead and the wisp change sucks

While I’m sad there will be no more dead interaction, I understand the problems with keeping it. A fond farewell to the Death Knight.

PS Guys it’s fine to make Mystic non-unique because she is no longer a hard counter to Possessor.

IMO the solution to the nightshade problem… is instead of tweaking butler, tweak the king.

Give the king a new passive “day vulnerability”. Poisons and bleeds will kill the king on the night of impact if untreated. You will not be able to tell which one was applied".

That should also be tied in with a no poisons or bleeds can be applied in the last 20 seconds of the day.

This would allow cult and unseen to mimic a butler poisoning if needed, and allow butler to poison a king quickly.

Actually, I think it would be better to just super buff Nightshade Wine.

Like make it kill in one night, not inform the King, and be unhealable. Butler could use the buff anyways.

Personally I think this is the cleanest way to go about it. Solves all of the problems.

As a whole, I do like this patch. A couple of points I find I don’t like though.

This just gives the Princess less ways to prove themselves and more likely just to be executed cos “LOL PRINCESS CLAIM”. I despise this one to be honest. Princesses are just going to be executed for no reason now for fear they are the MM, something that happens now but at least they can try to get a confirming Wisp first. I actually despise this change considering there has been a lot of people saying that classes need ways to prove themselves better, not have their means removed.

WHY?! Inq doesn’t matter so much but being a Scorned who’d won but no one knows who you are so you can mess around and have fun was FUN. This isn’t really a terrible, game changing change but it’s still removing some of the fun from the class.

That isn’t true. The confirmability of classes has been a big problem that people have talked about. The wisp change is a step in the right direction.

The reason for “LOL X claim” executions is that too small of a percentage of classes in the game, aren’t self confirmable. The solution to that is to have more classes in the untestable category…

right now as it is, if we remove newbies that don’t know the game mechanics, BD’s win-rate will be crazy high like 80%… and more or less that comes from the fact that if you get all the claims out, then eliminate people with confirmed visible effects out… 9/10 times if you just focus on the “lol X claims” you’ve got a free win.

again the only solution to that problem, is to make enough classes in the lol x claims category, that you can’t simply execute them all.

ones that are only sus if they haven’t used their confirming ability

Princess that hasn’t whisped

observer that hasn’t followed (OK this one really should be in the category of unclaimables. but apparently enough people are noobs enough that they won’t get the logs, or think that a sane observer would use peak on n1-2)
