the charter schools near me all require good grades to get in(think that’s how it’s done everywhere) so less stabbings seem normal

different states implement charter schools differently and some are more competent about it than others
Minnesota is fairly competent about it
also charter schools (at least in Minnesota) are a subset of public schools

If you think charter schools there are consistently better you’re probably wrong
It’s a model that is proven to be significantly more likely to fail the children in it than public education
I mean a couple of teenagers shoving each other against lockers isn’t going to make the national news

You probably haven’t even heard of the charter schools near you that aren’t super preppy, but I bet there are some, unless Texas is really strict on them
i would rant about how those incidents are used for political gain but that’s neither here nor there
in Minnesota they are literally not allowed to do that
which is funny because district schools are but I’m not the one writing laws

i can probably find a few cases of it making the local news here
but significantly more often than not it was just swept under the rug
