Well, it’s more like I recognise something that immediately jumps out as villagery or wolfy and then try to justify why I think that over and over with somebody’s post, generally examining the post from the perspectives of the two allignments.
That’s why your reads early on are probably bad because you are trying to justify a gut read
As an example, with the DatBird readslist read I knew that the readslist was wolfy from the start, and went through what was making me THINK the read was wolfy. I found that the methodology of the reads was unnaturally split when they read me as wolf, and thus Luigi’s Mansion happened.

Again, I don’t like to think of it as gut, it’s more as if I see the whole of the post and then have to look closer to see what I like or don’t like about it.

Actually the problem could be over analyzing one post and tagging that player with wolf from one post

I think it’s probably because my method works well for microreads but in general macroreads are more reliable than a microread when the two come into conflict.
The thing is that it’s quite easy to have incorrect macroreads.

I’m wondering if acting really depressed in a mafia game is possible to out Mafia by their reactions
As an example, reading Dels as village in the NaAH Mash because of their posts being “solid” overall. Or reading you as wolf in that same game for having correct reads for bad reasons why did I think that read worked so well the first time that I used it three times as village with no alteration

It’s not the fact that you made a readslist that put me onto your scent, it was the fact that your read on me had a vast tonal gap from the rest of the post in terms of both reasoning, content and quality.
admittedly I’d argue that introducing reads using a readslist is the worst possible thing to do as village but w/e
