I don’t think it’d work, simply because although it could out somebody, technically any non-standard play could potentially out a wolf and this play dosen’t have a better chance than those other plays.
On the other hand, it’s a LOT harder to lolreactiontests out of, and you know it.
Mafia have a win Condition and an agenda to push. They will probably act slightly different and if I was more focused on this I could probably list reasons on how

Also, call me a hypocrite or whatever but I don’t think emotion and undue distress should be a part of Mafia. I gave up actual deliberate AtE a long time ago, and I don’t plan to go back to it (Mostly because it’s legendarily part of my wolf meta at this point and literally anybody who has ever played here knows about it)
Outting a wolf as this strat is probably the equivalent socially of just ATE’ing as a wolf and surviving
