Villagers are a passive mob in Minecraft, which spawn in NPC Villages. The more doors in a village, the more Villagers will spawn. Occasionally, if there are enough Villagers, an Iron Golem will spawn. There are ways to trick the game into believing that a Village is at a certain location and making Iron Golems spawn and die, then the drops funneling into Chests using Hoppers, making an endless Iron Ingot farm (the Iron Golem drops a few Iron Ingots on death). Occasionally the golem will have a Poppy in its hand, and will drop that too, funneling into the same chests as the Iron Ingots. Villagers can be interacted with by right-clicking them, which opens up a GUI that the player can put certain items in and get certain items back. Villagers gain new trades as they are traded with. Villagers are indicated to have a new trade by purple swirls appearing around them. When these swirls stop, the Villager will have a new trading option. There are limits on Villager trades, though. After enough trades of the same type, that trade will no longer be possible with that Villager.
