“Is that true?” Magnus asks.
“I choose the second option,” Jem said.
“Just Fie being Fie, nothing much out of the ordinary.” Faustus shrugs, still admiring the view. “Have to admit, the scenery is lovely. Makes me wonder if I was born in the wrong area.”
“You… lived in Adiart’s biggest city,” Magnus stammered. “You could’ve lived in Telias.”
“This is such a trick,” James muttered. “Technicalities? Maybe living in a palace isn’t so nice…”
“Size isn’t everything. Important lesson you’ll probably soon learn. What matters is the stuff or people inside.”
Faustus smiles, before muttering, “Wonder what it would’ve been like if my old friends saw this. Probably hitting on Elise to be honest.”
“Excuse me?” Magnus wasn’t sure if he heard correctly.
Faustus turns to look at Magnus, with a confused look on his face. “What?”
“You knew Elise before?” Magnus gaped.
“No… I never came here before. Which is why I’m enjoying the view. Brings me back to when I was a kid exploring the nation.”
“Oh.” Magnus seemed disappointed. I’m guessing we’re all up for the night? We’ll reach Tempor by morning.”
“Sweet. Can’t wait. Maybe when we have free time we can go boating.”
“You did… well, last time,” Magnus said, thinking of the disaster they had fishing together
Faustus tries searching his memory, but no luck on finding an earlier boating experience with the boy. “I mean, there’s always second chances, right?”
“Of course there are second chances.”
When Magnus said this, he was thinking about his past, his lost sister.
“Well then sweet, get to mess up a second time.” Faustus grins, before pulling out his gladius and examining it. “Still in prime condition… Kinda miss having to clean this myself. Oh well.”
Magnus looks at Fie and Terry. “This will be good.”
@Ami @Lightsin @Magnus
“Yep. There’s a real pretty girl in the Club. Oh, and we should be there within the half hour. This fits the description of ‘too foggy to see’.”
Fie remarked, sniggering ever so slightly at Terry, but bringing the attention to the view out of the train.
If you would look outside… the green plains you saw were long left behind, and instead, was a forest highway…? Or at least you saw light… the mist was what captured your attention.
The cool air pierced the heavens and potentially your lungs… figuratively. The mist was overpowering, not letting you see beyond a few metres out of the window. It felt as if the train was stuck in a Dream Dimension… or something like that if such a dream truely existed.
Majita attempted to look beyond… but as it was just a mass of opaque particles crowding around the area, there was no way to look past the mist.
The time was 1749. It would be wise to drop by an inn or something. But Sara did drop them this message…
“Oh, there’ll be someone waiting for you at the station. Don’t go running around frisking like rabbits in an open plain, kay?”
“This train terminates at Tempor Station. We thank you for travelling on the Imperial Railways. Please get ready to disembark. We hope you had a pleasant journey.”
“Time to move.” Fie jumps up, clearly ready to go.
“She’s way too prepared for everything.” Terry sighs.
@James @fireslol
“No way! It must be the third option! Elise is too nice to be in this world to hate anything she talks with!” Ferris blumbers out… before covering her mouth and looking away from the group in embarrassment.
Elise smiles. “James is wrong this time.”
You hear Ferris heave a sigh of relief…
“I love my town, and I’ll do all that I can to protect them. The same goes for all my friends and family. If I have the power, it’s my duty to protect them. However, I have found the school to be lacking in quite a number of areas. I’m not quite sure of the reason yet.”
She puts her hands together in a prayer, and closes her eyes as she bows her head ever so slightly, as if commiting a sin.
“Forgive me, Agravain. I should not doubt the path I have chosen.”
“We are approaching: Fallair. Passengers who are alighting at this station, please prepare to disembark. We hope your journey with us has been a pleasant one.”
The time now is 1749. Sara has left a message for you…
“Remember to go to Herschel’s Innery! Instructor Herschel will be at the station to pick you up. She’ll be your teacher monitoring you for the session!”
Instructor Herschel… was the art teacher… wasn’t she? She was nice, fluffy and kind… Just like Ferris is when she eats… Oh, don’t forget, she had a mother’s aura around her. She can’t hurt anyone. At all. She gets flustered at the mere sight of a student’s discomfort… she’s adorable for a teacher. We can all attribute that for her being way young… she just joined the academy 2 years ago after all.
“C’mon Elise. Let’s get ready.” Ferris pats Elise’s shoulder. Elise nods in response.
“Yes. We shall. We shall make this field study a resounding success!” Elise declares.
“We have arrived at the terminal station, Tempor. All passengers, please alight at this station. We hope you had a pleasant journey.”
The misty town of Tempor. Upon stepping out of the station… you would see a town shrouded in strong mist… But the mist in the town wasn’t as strong out there in the highways… But where was the person you’re supposed to meet?
“Where is the correspondent going to show up?” Terry remarked, folding his arms. Sure enough, they didn’t have a lot of time. They had 2 days other than today…
A hand clasps down onto Terry’s shoulder, and a booming voice echoes from behind him.
“Don’t you worry you little lads. I’m going right there.”
He has a sling bag… and an envelope. Magnus would recognise him to be the man that met up with Sara earlier.
“C’mon. I’ll lead you to her.”
He walks into the mist.
“Umm… what do we do?” Fie asks.
“Should be self explanatory.” Faustus unhesitatingly heads into the fog where the man went.
