“There’s always that picky few though.”
Faustus frowns, but shrugs it off.
“Or that one person I bumped into…”
“Just because that one person, or many others, might not like you doesn’t mean you should dwell on them too long.”
“I want to say sorry, but I’m afraid that it’ll make it awkward.”
“Now, I haven’t been in that position so I can’t really help you. Just trust your first instinct.”
Jem Met Magnus’s eye with hostility and walked back over to Faustus and Hunter.
“Hey, are you alright?”
“He’s upset about something,” Magnus said, lightly joggng back.
“Speaking of, Posideon, I’m curious, why did you partner up with Terry?”
“Because I thought i’d fight him.” Magnus had averted his eyes, making it impossible to tell if he was lying.
“Really?..”
Hunter had tried to read Magnus’s expression, unable to get anything.
“Um, can you help me with something?”
“Depends what it is of course,” Magnus said.
“Do I apologize to Ferris, or do I leave it be? I want to be nice but I don’t want to apologize and make it more awkward.”
“I don’t want her to think I’m a bad person, but I don’t want to cause unnecessary tension.”
Magnus frowns. “James would know more about that,” he said. “I get the feeling he’s a diplomat.”
“Oh come on…”
Hunter went to talk with James.
James was writing in a book. As Hunter approached, he snapped it shut.
“Please for the love of god, give me an answer, should I apologize to Ferris or not? I’m worried that if I apologize while she’s over it, it’ll be awkward.”
“Oh yeah. The books,” James says warily. “Apologise and don’t offer compensation. Now, i’m busy.“
Jem started writing in his book again. He was obviously mad about something.
