“Wait!.. Ah crap…Great Hunter, school hasn’t even started and you already made an enemy.”
Hunter, now learning his mistake, speed-walked to the entrance being cautious at every single moment.
You see a makeshift stand, with several students at one of the counters. There is another free counter, with a boy manning the counter.
You note the lady you “bumped into” at that counter, handing over a bag to the boy.
Though, it is interesting to note. All of the current students waiting in line are wearing black jackets like yours.
“Are black jackets for first years or something?..”
Hunter looked at the other students waiting in line, trying to see if his assumption is true.
The student councilors in duty are dressed in either blue or white. Either way, they all have a ribbon on their left arms.
You could join the other black jackets in the first line, or join the lady you bumped into.
“…I should at least say sorry…”
Hunter hesitantly and slowly joined the lady.
“Seat 15? Thank you.”
She turns away, only to come face to face with Hunter.
“You.” Her expression immediately darkens.
“What do you want?”
“I just wanna undo my mistake…I don’t want my school year to start off bad…So…How much money do you want? I may not have a lot, but I think it’s enough for the books.”
Magnus impatiently decides to go outside and see what the hold up. “Sorry,” he says to his “friends,” and heads outside to find the school councillor he met earlier.
The lady looked at the boy. Sure enough, it was his attempt to make it up to her, but for some reason she just couldn’t get it into her head.
These books weren’t all expensive, but she wasn’t one to hold a grudge over them either. After all, it was just him hurrying to the school, she couldn’t blame him for being enthusiastic and not wanting to be late, could she? She could forgive him, but then he went on.
A switch flipped, she folded her arms and stared right into Hunter’s eyes. In her pupils, you could sense a coldness akin to a abyssal trench.
“I can afford them quite well myself, thank you.”
That “thank you” was quite a way of hurting a man’s ego and confidence, like a dagger cutting right through skin and buttering.
She walks off in the direction of the auditorium, a big building to the left of the makeshift stall.
“Oh boy, that’s a tough one you have there.” The student councillor remarked.
“Yeah…Um, what seat do I have?”
“It’s fine,” Jem says, watching Magnus leave the auditorium.
“C’mon now, tell me your name and hand over your weapon, then I can assign your appropriate seat. Can’t do jack without information after all.”
The boy says, grinning.
As you walk out of the auditorium, a fair lady walks past you into the auditorium, also wearing a black jacket. She looks really irritated, for some reason you wouldn’t know.
“Hunter Srites.”
Hunter handed over his wooden blade.
“Are you alright?” Magnus asks in a friendly and calming tone.
“Hunter… Hunter… Ah… there you are. Class six. Your seat is seat 16, though I can arrange it so you don’t spark some fireworks by sitting next to a ticking time bomb. She got some beef with ya, I take it?”
He takes the wooden sword, seals it into a bag and chucks the sword into the neighboring stall with the boxes. It lands by the Class VI box.
@Magnus
She seems to preoccupied with herself to actually hear you. She walks towards to the seat beside Jem and takes her seat. She sighs and buries her own face in her hands.
“I can’t stand bullies.” Magnus heads over to the councillor he met earlier.
“Excuse me, but I’m curious to know what time the opening ceremony starts?”
“Hey, are you alright?” Jem speaks in a soothing tone.
“It starts in about 15 minutes. Could you please take your seat?”
The councilor outside the auditorium states.
@James
“Urgh! What do you want?” She bursts out, surprising the students behind her. Though, she realized this as well, before sighing again.
“Please forget that. I’m not feeling that well.”
Elise, if startled by the outburst, didn’t show it.
“I would suggest giving her time. After all, we’ll get to know each other later on.”
Magnus considers explaining about the upset girl, but he holds his tongue and returns to his seat.
“Elise, do you know more about helping people than I do?” He asks, gesturing to the girl.
