“You would be given a weapon to work with, you’ll have to speak with the people at the stalls for more details however.”
She beckons to the makeshift stalls.
(murmurs) “I have some time.”
Heads to the student councillor Jem is speaking to.
“I would like to hand in my weapon.”
Magnus unslings his Trident, handing it over. “It’s a bit heavy,” he warns.
Jem stares awestruck at the Trident, but says nothing.
Magnus notices his look. “hey, i’m Magnus,” He said, extending his hand as was custom.
Jem doesn’t take his hand. “I’m James, but you can call me Jem.”
The girl in front seemed petite and upon looking at the trident, she couldn’t help but let out a yelp of surprise.
“Oh, wow… please hold on. May I have your name?”
She flips through a clipboard, brushing all the way to the back of the stack of papers.
“Magnus Eldoris. I grew around Tempor.”
Jem begins to panic. “Wait!” He cried out as he revealed his shortsword. “I’m impressive too,” he says, somewhat pathetically.
Magnus waited, showing incredible restraint.
“Magnus Eldoris, check!”
She signs off on one of the papers. Eliminating other options, it could be a class list.
She then takes the trident, and wraps the trident with a firm plastic.
“Please head to the auditorium on the left and go to seat number 13!”
“Ah, could I have your name?”
@James
She asks.
“Thank you. Where can i collect it from after?”
“My name is James, James Smith.”
Magnus waits. “also is it possible to sign up for something? I’d understand if the answer is no, considering it’s my first year, but I’d like to work in Academy security if possible. I fought off quite a few sea monsters before.”
“It’ll be sometime during your orientation exercises in the afternoon, or when the homeroom teacher sees fit.”
The lady smiles.
“And… James Smith… there we go…”
She ticks off another person on the same page. Peering closely, you can see a total of 4 names ticked off in the list. Before she brings the weapon and wraps it up as well, before putting it gingerly into the box “Class VI”.
“More details will be given by the homeroom teachers later! Your seat is number 14. Please head over!”
“Do we wait in the auditorium now?”
“Thank you for your efficiency in all things human.” Magnus smiles, matching perfectly with his sea green eyes. Then he heads to the auditorium.
James follows, mumbling under his breath; “how does he do it?”
Magnus sat at seat 13, leaning back confidently. He looks for James.
James realises he doesn’t know where to sit, but doesn’t want to walk out the auditorium.
