It is, but to explain it for the Fate/ series, is a rather long explanation. TL;DR, its basically a war between seven magus, who use Servants that are Warriors from history and Mythology EX; King Arthur, Cu Cuchulain, and use them to battle for the Holy Grail, which gives the Magus who wins one wish of their desire.
