A good rule of thumb to determine if it’s angleshooting or not is would you have gotten the same info if you didn’t leave the thread? If yes, then it’s not angleshooting. If no then it is angleshooting.

Has anyone here heard of 1000 Blank White Cards before? Essentially, it’s a Nomic game. In Nomic games, you are bound to have blurry edges. These get even more blurred the first time you play. However, as you start culling the bad cards out (usually by putting them in a suckbox) you gain 2 things:

  1. A better deck
  2. A better example of what not to put in the deck.

Angleshooting is like 1000 Blank White Cards. It’s all a vague mess that needs many major examples of what is and what isn’t allowed. By calling out points that could be considered angleshooting and adding new rules, you get

  1. A better deck of allowed things
  2. A better example of what things aren’t allowed in the deck.

Hell, the “CFD while the village is asleep” strat is perfectly allowed and I’ve even done it recently on MU recently here.

Chinese fire drill. Quickly changing the wagon to a different player. Usually this pertains to minutes before EoD (end of day), but here it’s liberally used for just changing the wagon.

Which doesn’t work in FoL since plurality is not a thing. And i consider this as good. Because “using someone’s sleeping” is kinda bad manners.

Can someone explain to me why using timestamps from inside the thread is bad? It’s literally open knowledge information.

That’s perfectly valid.

Plenty of skilled MU’ers use timestamps to help with VCAs and whatnot.

If you have been put in a position where scum can make a move while most of the town is away, then they’ve already done their job - getting into a position where they can take power.

We had an issue in a past SFoL where a player found the entire wolfteam by abusing a loophole in the last post functions. We don’t need more incidents like this.

Town usually has 24 hours to avoid being put in a position where scum can get advantage just by them sleeping, so yeah.
