I don’t understand what people are saying in spec and mafia chat to not want it public. Is everyone secretly trashing the whole forum or massively racist in them or something lol?

People can read the game thread to learn ur mafia meta, hiding mafia chat doesn’t stop that lol.

I have many issues with this

  • If it is going to hurt somebody else, maybe don’t say it just because they aren’t there now

  • If it’s intensely personal (for some reason, really shouldn’t be because that either doesn’t matter to the game or you should just replace out) you can delete that one post before it would go live

  • The ability to keep your meta stale is not a good trade-off for removing a learning opportunity from every other player in the game

Spec chat not being public just sounds dumb and I would hope it hasn’t happened outside of whatever “SFV” is

  • That’s within one slot and, as you specifically chose to partner with them, is much more likely to contain personal info (or trash talk I guess lol Arete/Ami)

  • Hydra chats aren’t centralized and easily releasable

  • Nobody has ever asked for them to my memory

I mean hydra chats aren’t strictly private, it’s just a hassle to publicize them all. If someone wanted in one of mine I’d probs let them tho.
