i don’t mind you being grumpy
but the things you have done:
- posted a few jokes (which were notably at the same level as your jokes in evolution mafia, where you were mafia; same thing could be applied to dreaming gods, where you were also mafia and had similar issues)
- continued to defend your position (which is fair, but you spent your entire time in thread after getting sussed writing posts defending yourself instead of doing anything else)
- expressed a few reads (which were not really substantiated. that is not a problem by itself, but you haven’t done anything to get better reads, nor have you pursued your existing reads)
to me it reads like this:
“as town, i joke. i must joke around a bit early on to make sure they believe i’m the same town hippo with a sense of humor”
“people are scumreading me, i must defend myself here and make sure their arguments are not seen as valid so i don’t die today. oh, i forgot, i’m supposed to vote self-pres i think. time to vote datbird”
“i must have at least a few reads and opinions so people don’t accuse me of a lack of solving.”
the underlying issue is: all of it looks forced. it doesn’t look like any of these things came naturally to you. it’s more like you were just going through the motions to fulfill the requirements for a decent imitation of your towngame, instead of just… being in your towngame and doing your towngame.
which is why i think you’re mafia. the only reason i unvoted you is because i want my vote to go in a few more places before it (probably) lands on you again at end of day.
i’m not sure why i’m addressing this post to you, since you’re my wolfread and i can’t make you admit you’re mafia. i’d just like to say that your personal news have no bearing on my read (at least not directly) and if you’re playing differently because of them (and i’m misreading you), then my bad.
