Hunter wouldn’t be worth less if wolfing happened during the day.

It would be powerful with bear alone, wolf is just an extra, and it should be a day ability.

But the argument is that NKs can’t reliably fake that

Which is a valid point

If we move wolf to day, we have to allow bear to be used the same night. If Hunter uses wolf during the day and we restrict bear to a day ability or unusable with wolf, this gives evils a confirmed chance to attack the hunter.

I get what firekitten is saying. Due to the occupy immunity, Hunter is one of the few plausible claims for possessor and sorc. While it’s quickly outed by a second Hunter claim, players also need to be wary of fools claiming Hunter.

Basically, I think I’m in agreement that wolf stays a night ability.

Edit: thinking about it more, having a day wolf reintroduces the old butler trick of “poison the king to prove”. Yeah, sure you could be assassin or cult leader, but cult leaders have never claimed wanted to claim Hunter, and rarely assassins will since they’re both killer. But just the same how a night wolf “confirms” a Hunter, knowing they’re occ immune plus a bleed will “prove” them.

Having confirmability at the risk of killing your fellow BD is warranted and frankly the best form of confirmability. This is why the old butler poison also wasn’t too bad honestly. There is a tangible cost to confirming yourself outside of using up a limited use ability, so I don’t think hunter’s wolf needs changing.

He wasn’t too bad? Like you could literally not even claim it as servant nor invoker while there’s a king…

You can refuse to do it without confirmed healers alive. You can fake it with evil king. You can be active and actually try to appear BD, so people won’t ask you. This is the best kind of confirmability, because you hurt a good role (BD king, evil king won’t ask you) to confirm yourself. That was my whole point. You can’t just quote a part out of context.

Something like mystic’s telepathy or noble’s forced voting doesn’t hurt anyone while still confirming them almost 100% on the flipside.

Healers are common spawners though, so it will be unbelievable like frame is.

Knowing an evil king is really hard as an evil. Because you don’t want to out yourself to someone your not really sure what he is. Even if he acts scum he could be playing bad.

Mystic is already confirmable and hey it’s converted form still has that so does noble unlike old butler

I am not going to discuss the exact amount of confirmable it is, because that is not the point I am trying to convey. I agree with you that it is confirmable. It is the only kind of confirmable that is desirable and that is at cost to the BD. Mystic and Noble have no costs to proving themselves with their day ability other than losing 1 use of the ability. If you compare Butler poison, Telepathy and forced voting, the clear distinction between them is that Butler poison comes at a risk to the BD. That is probably precisely the reason why the scum counterparts have those day abilities, but not the Butler poison, even though they are helpless if they turn into assassin/CL.

Wolfing to prove is a similar kinda deal.
