it might be more balanced if one of the townsfolk there is replaced with noble? not sure

I just refuse this game entirely.

Have fun hosting it tho!

of course i knew this with how your experience w/ BotF 2 went. like i said, that’s okay
the purpose of this thread, though, is to provide balance feedback on the formation of this setup, not to express whether or not you would play it

If you’re replacing something for Noble, I’d be inclined to suggest Knight, as both are starting-info characters, but you could avoid the issue of Travelers by swapping Prophet out for Noble. And I’d suggest a small tweak to Coachman, in that they can’t use the same word twice (I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if a Coachman player said “Demon” every time).

Which two between noble, knight, and prophet do you think would be best balanced? Note that I don’t really have an issue with forcing released travelers to be permitted since I like the prophet’s ability so much. And got it for coachman. I should probably also say that you cannot use another word that is blatantly a direct synonym to a word you have already used.

Also, if psychopath is triggered by plague doctor, I plan to have either marshal or me be given the psychopath ability (but not both) and the town can lynch + RPS THAT st without fear of consequence to get rid of the psychopath ability. Does that sound okay?

Oh, ick, I didn’t even realize the interaction between Plague Doctor and Psychopath. I mean, that really only happens in a 3-Minion game that rolls PD and not Psycho (since having any option other than Psychopath for PD allows you to just not use Psycho for it), but that seems like an okay way to deal with it.

In terms of balance between Noble, Knight and Prophet, I would think that Noble and Prophet gives the best balance, but the interaction between Noble and Bounty Hunter gives me pause, since Bounty Hunter getting anyone within Noble’s three would confirm the other two as good, which can be devastating for evil.

What about Knight + prophet then (keeping bounty hunter)

Also marionette can’t really be done as a result of plague doctor or be given to mole as a bluff. So that might limit us to 2 minions / 12 residents
Do you have a solution to that @Tangeld

Marionette can’t really be used for mole bluff or plague doctor i think

Perhaps we need to replace marionette with sicilian? Not sure.

i like marionette but it’s possible we have to get rid of it
If marionette does not roll in a 3 minion game with Mole, I think good is fucked

My top priority is keeping mole in the script.
Everything else is compromisable

Oh, for… Mole doesn’t play nicely with Psychopath either. This is why it’s in Midnight, with the Goblin and Wizard as the Minions known to be in that script; it has deniability when it can’t perform a public Minion action.

Yes I realized that we also have to get rid of psychopath
