Bring back the old scorned (repost because voter fraud)

I like old corned, I don’t see why It was removed.
I felt like I was on a super secret mission, a whole different playing field. Everyone else was playing checkers, but I was playing chess.

New scorned can be won in one day. After winning old scorned, you had a sense of accomplishment; now, as new scorned, you just want to win so you can do whatever you want.

  • I like new scorned, no need for change
  • I like old scorned, I want it back!
  • I like neither, needs rework
  • I like neither, needs removal

I like the current Scorned (and voted as such), although I feel like it could use another Night ability of some sort.

Old Scorned:
3 targets, targets can be of any faction, win condition was to outlive all of them. Abilities were Frame and Bait and Switch. (no trollbox my mistake)
New Scorned:
2 targets, BD only (no Prince), win condition is to get one of them executed. They have Frame and Trollbox (until it got removed for abuse and will be returned at some point).

I thought the Fool hold the troll box and not the scorned while the Scorned had frame only…

Scorned was given Trollbox as well a bit after the rework, until it was removed from both because people used it to make it look like another player was saying stuff that’s against the rules.

That being removed I can understand for the Scorned. But then it wouldn’t make sense for the Scorned to have the Troll Box in my opinion.

I always thought that it was just fool, so unless I missed the point where they both had the troll box (likely), I just assumed that Scorned had the Framed ability only

Oh except I rashly pressed the new one without needing change.

Rather than one of the targets need to be executed without having the second executed as well, I say two targets is still needed.

Current Scorned already has a 30% win rate. Needing both targets to get executed would make it damn near impossible to win because nobody would believe you after the first one gets lynched and flips BD.
If this happens, Scorned needs something like a Defile-esque ability that lasts until the next day. And that might make it too strong.

Some luck is needed for one of the targets need to be converted and the uninformed majority won’t suspect the scorned.

Remind me of their conditions. They have to win with both their targets right?

Because last time I played as scorned, I needed one target to have died at least for me to win, and even if you die, you still would have won if they were executed

Yep, that’s how current Scorned works. As long as you get one of your two targets lynched, you will win no matter what happens to you (I believe the only exception is if you’re crowned Neutral King and then die).
Old Scorned needed to see all 3 of their targets dead no matter how (lynch, night death, etc). It supposedly didn’t matter whether or not you lived or died after that, but old Scorned was bugged anyway and couldn’t win the game no matter what. The win conditions simply stated that you need to live to see your targets dead by any means.

Right. I prefer this way better. I think with all three targets, especially converted would have been slightly more difficult because the fact that if they were converted, they would easily identify you as scorned rather than an investigative role (imo)

Or the scorned hasn’t to do anything with converted targets and let the executionwagon roll on itself.

By the way, I know you don’t like it, but without any arguments, I doubt this will do anything. It’d help if you provided some reasoning. You are free to make as many polls as you want, but don’t get the illusion something will change just because of your poll; I’m pretty sure that ain’t gonna happen without any arguments.
