Participating in a fight will grant you an appropriate amount of EXP to the value you bring to actually defeating the boss. E.G: If you do half it’s damage, you’ll receive around a 3rd of the total EXP due to not actually killing it.

Say, for example, if two people participate in a fight, both deal 50% of total health, the one who kills gets 66.6% of the xp, due to killing it, and the one who didn’t gets 33.3%
