Is that really a āgoodā reason for him to be town? He could easily be distancing or a traitor.
He could be traitor.
But Iām willing to work with traitor short-term.

If heās Traitor, heās not going to push players he believes are scum. Traitor has the advantage of always being Detective checked town, so they are in a great position to push people.

Realistically you canāt. My basis has been that you are pushing random players, not giving reads, and you kind of softed about not caring about being checked/jailed so I took that as you would likely get checked town as a traitor would.
Could you be Mafia? Yes.
Could you be town? Yes. This format is 100% on reads, so if youāre townā¦you need to start acting it.

Ok James think about it. Like HTM said its psychology. So if you know how people react to certain things and how to prove it thatās how you find scum. So like thatās what this game especially relies on reads, not mechanical info
