Mechanics were highly townsided dansgame
Things that are bad:
- clearing people based on meta when what’s actually going on is ‘they did something as a villager last time they were town, and not the last time they were wolf’
- clearing people with any amount of flexibility in playstyle on the basis of things that would be easy to change
- using meta as the sole basis for your read, on any player other than Emilia, Zone, Dat, or possibly Dry
- clearing someone because of meta and ignoring every wolfy thing they do after that point
things that are good
using meta to clear Emilia/Dat/Zone/Dry- if someone is doing Stereotypically Wolfy Things, checking to see if they’ve done them before as V as well
- using non-obvious but reliable meta tells to clear people
EVO mafia was lost for town due to a disastrous d1 more than anything else
I would change first point to “reeval more often”.
Like
There were a couple easy wolf lynches
They…did not happen
Like period
How did I not die d1
YOU ARE WOLF
WOLF WOLF WOLF WOLF WOLF
THIS GAME IS TOO EZ
Why did scum win:
- the most consensus villager decided to harass every other player in the game and ignore half of what they were saying, even when they had information that was highly relevant to the solve
- More broadly, villagers had a hard time trusting each other in the early game, which led to critical information not being outed until it was almost too late
Village was very very close to a win this game
They lost because of a hiccup on Shurian’s slot and expectations for what a demon might do
I will admit that I glued village back together after replacing in
But endgame was actually tough
because your lost wolf spent several hours spamming ‘an N lynch is just a useless policy lynch, let’s lynch the openwolver’ until people moved
and also for some reason people decided to lynch Amelia? I’m not really clear on how that happened
I will admit that I glued village back together after replacing in
after i explained to your ass how madness worked via whisper so you would stop tunneling me ignorantly
To be entirely fair
I did not play BotF a single time before replacing in
This is True
While I played dozens of hours of clocktower IRL at deceptacon
As well as some hours voice on discord
As well as BotF I
they did someone as a villager
- clearing people based on meta when what’s actually going on is ‘they did someone as a villager last time they were town, and not the last time they were wolf’
- clearing people with any amount of flexibility in playstyle on the basis of things that would be easy to change
- using meta as the sole basis for your read
nod nod
things that are good
using meta to clear Emilia/Dat/Zone/Dry
i don’t like when people have blatantly obvious scum/town metas
- using non-obvious but reliable meta tells to clear people
this is the only meta read i’m a fan of
those really small things
Arete:things that are good
using meta to clear Emilia/Dat/Zone/Dryi don’t like when people have blatantly obvious scum/town metas
then tell them to get better at playing scum
i think ive tried
you’ve not only tried, you’ve def succeeded
you doomed arete to live in the pocket forever in RMIV
which is impressive
i meant
i think ive said to a few of those players that having a one dimensional meta like that just dooms you in scumgames
and by that i think i said that to datbird once
i think dat’s best scumgame was botf2
and i say that with the openwolf in mind
i cannot think of any others that he won
