I’m not a big fan of D1 lynches to be honest. In all the games I’ve seen that happen, it usually is a LHF town.

And not to mention, having massive postcounts also creates a higher entry barrier for newbies, who also feel obligated to hyperpost and pressured to “keep up the postcount.” Or they just won’t play, because they can’t be arsed to read so much content every day.

And that’s bad. Having an influx of players is good. We need to make new players enjoy the game, not drive them away through unreasonable posting expectations.

It goes without saying that everyone should enjoy the game, but massive postcounts are unenjoyable for newbies especially. It’s such a huge entry barrier. When I started playing, we wrapped up entire games within <4k posts. If I started to play now, I would be completely overwhelmed.

My first game had 2.5k posts, and I still was overwhelmed
But I had a player who led me through the through reading process ingame (thx Geyde), and I was able to read every post multiple times
So I wasn’t completely lost

I thought you had heavy association with astand and went to preflip them. Astand wasn’t in PoE and you were.
That was my main reason for shooting you over Astand. If you flipped scum in my eyes I had two; including one that was in towncore.

I agree the post counts make it very hard for others to re eval. Its gonna be hard to lessen posts though as usually I’m just posting my mind. Will keep the memes to a minimum

This is better. And I agree that it’s not the only thing. But it’s an important thing which is also easily fixed, which is why I’m posting about it. It’s by far the most important in my eyes.
