Jammy I respect you and the other Mods greatly, and you are clearly Mods because you are responsible and mature enough to deal with people and care about ToL. However, you are not Mods because you are suddenly infallible on balance changes or even best at the game - there are several people I can think of who have a better understanding of the mechanics.
I suggest you listen to others on this one and open up ideas to other FoL players who have played more. (Legit not me but Orange Unknown PKR and Bounty all have suggested pretty good ideas.)

I love you all, and Iāve worked with Jammy before, but you all do at least appear to take the whole āmodās word is lawā thing beyond where it actually applies sometimes.
Community input can be a good source of ideas and feedback. You donāt need to listen to everything they say, but Iāve seen what Iāll call a sense of āmoderator superiorityā from all three of the main FoL hosts, whether actually present or not.
I fully trust that none of this is intended to be mean or selfish (yāall some pretty cool people), but it can very, very easily come off that way when you shoot down peopleās ideas without so much as a discussion on their merits. Itās a responsibility you accepted when you became a moderator to treat all of the forum members with respect, and that includes explaining why you disagree with people. Otherwise it can seem like youāre simply taking all decisions into your own hands, and that does not end well. Remember the February Riots.
Hopefully none of this comes off as resentful, itās more a precautionary statement - Iāve seen what happens when mods with good intentions accidentially start conflicts through lack of good communication and discourse, and we donāt need that here. Just my two cents.

Donāt misunderstand - Iām not accusing anybody of not explaining things.
Iām just trying to point out that these discussions are vitally important to have all of the time. Thatās why I love the fact that the FoL Discussion Discord server exists, even if my phone is rejecting Discord at the moment.

My lord and savior JammySplodge.
Although the Serpent has been an amazing place holder and whoever made it should be very proud, the Scorned performs exactly the same function as it but is generally more interactive to play as and more unique.
On top of this, the Scorned is in ToL, and for new players to the forums it is incredibly odd that there is one random role-function which is drastically changed, even though our replacement is clearly inferior.
In your infinite wisdom I hope you consider replacing Serpent with the Scourned.
