[Class Idea] Obsessed

Obsessed
Neutral Special

Notes:
Starts off with a target, they will not be notified that you exist, however you will be notified that they’re your target, you win once you and your target is alive at the end of the game.

__
Passive 1 - Shy: You can’t whisper to your target.
Passive 2 - Persistence:Death Immune at night, additionally, if your target dies, you will commit suicide the night after they die.

Night Ability 1 - Stalk: Stalk your target, you will learn some information about them every night in this order
(Learn their class type> Learn their faction> Learn their class)…
If they are attacked or converted, instead prevent their attacker/converter (Infinite uses)
Night Ability 2 - Envy: Kill a player, bypassing death immunity (3 uses)
__
Day Ability 1 - Playful Pressure: Force a player to vote for someone and prevent further voting from them ( 2 uses)

Win Condition: Survive to see your target win.
Additional Notes:
Your target may not be the starting king, the prince, the fool or the neutral killer

if this is added, it better kill any princesses trying to flirt with your target. and insta win if your target is princess who flirts with them

Options: Might change the goal to “Have your target win” and get rid of the night immunity, am up for people to suggest classes that i should/ should not have the obsessor target. k let me know what you think if you want

This has the same problems as the old mercenary. The “target” can easily confirm you and it makes it hard to fake unless you have a trusted ally.

wait another problem is the force vote and infinite guards

I tried fixing merc but they don’t seem to want to bring contracting back. Although with someone new doing the balance changes it could happen

There’s nothing wrong with that. Neutrals shouldn’t be fakeclaimable, and a contract class should be confirmable to their target. I have seen players refuse to claim their class to old mercs. It’s harder to protect your target if you don’t know whose side you’re on in the first place.

Question, do you want a pretender alch and merc claiming D1.

the problem here is that they would have no reason not to out if they are confirmable, also neutrals should be fake claimable because NK shows up as neutral and getting peeked as neutral would be a death sentence

Literally can only die through lynch

I’m fine with alchs and mercs doing it but not Pretenders. Pretender isn’t meant to be a NB.

Nothing wrong with that.

You could always claim that the observer is converted/I’d a fake observer. I’m against faction checks being on confirmable classes for that reason. Here’s why neuts shouldn’t be fakeclaimable:

  • Fake neuts give a bad reputation to real neuts. It wouldn’t be fair if neuts became an auto-exe class

  • Neuts are confirmable. Evils should avoid claiming confirmable classes.

  • What if the BD just happens to be neuts out? You’re better off with claiming BD.

And here’s why a contract class should be confirmable to their target:

  • What if their target refuses to claim because they could be fake? It’s hard to protect your target if you don’t know whose side you’re on.

  • Your target could fakeclaim to you. Being on the wrong side is just as bad as not knowing whose side you’re on.

Then they get executed and then you do as well.

like you said.

If they got a bad reputation just claim BD

Your second point is bad and should feel bad. It doesn’t explain why it should be it just says it is.

You could claim that they were disguised.

But they have a bad reputation because evils fakeclaim as neuts in the first place. Neuts shouldn’t be killed just because they are a neutral(which is why I’m against GK allies counting neuts as not an ally)

Neutrals shouldn’t be claiming neutral.

That’s the point here

“They were disguised”

Are you now claiming scorned?

Pretender shouldn’t be claiming pretender. There’s nothing wrong with alchs and mercs outing themselves

Cool, they should take the price as outting as neutral.

If they have a bad reputation maybe they shouldnt out

At the very least a contract class should be confirmable to their target so they know which side they’re on. I have had the Mastermind fakeclaim as BD to me when I was the old Merc before. That’s not fair

or just be notified of your target faction

What about neuts though?
