Class Reworks (Mostly Social)

Probably the cleanest way to do it. Priest suggestion is perfect now.

@NuclearBurrito Iā€™ve done some thinking and have come up with a way to make the Psychic more differentiated from the Prince, without changing its premise entirely:

Psychic (Unique Blue Dragon Social)

Passive: Linked Minds: You may speak with everyone you have linked at night. If you or anyone other person is jailed, the chat will continue but you may not participate.

Day Ability: Add Link: Your target may speak to you at night, with everyone else who is also linked. Unlimited uses.

Day Ability: Remove Link: Your target may no longer speak to you and everyone you have linked. Unlimited uses.

Illusionist (Unique Unseen Social)

Passive: Linked Minds: You may speak with everyone you have linked at night. If you or anyone other person is jailed, the chat will continue but you may not participate.

Day Ability: Dark Link: Add an Unseen member to your chat. Unlimited uses.

Day Ability: Dark Whispers: Trollbox

Just an idea, but I think it would be better than Psychic, and be able to actually coordinate.

I really like that! What would the night abilityā€™s be if any? Maybe give the illusionist mindwarp or something?

I think the illusionist version of that would definitely need work but I like the idea and it definitely shows promise

Definitely give feedback for the Illusionist, it will almost certainly need changes to be useful. Itā€™s current abilities are mainly for faking Psychic.

TBH I feel like trollbox on unseen is too powerful. Ima work on making the idea better.

Day ability: Telepathy - Send an anonymous message to everyone (2 uses)

Night ability: Alter Link - Target player is immediately added to the astral network. If they are already in the astral network they are immediately removed. The network cannot have more than 4 other players at once.(Unlimited. 1 day cooldown)

Illusionist - Unseen social :shield:
Passive 1: Astral network - You may speak to anyone you have linked with anonymously at night. They can also talk to each other. Anyone in jail cannot hear or speak using the chat. This passive will remain if your class changes.
Passive 2: Skilled - You can use both night abilityā€™s in the same night.

Day ability 1: Telepathy - Send an anonymous message to everyone (2 uses)

Night ability 1: Alter Link - Target player is immediately added to the astral network. If they are already in the astral network they are immediately removed. The network cannot have more than 4 other players at once.(Unlimited 1 day cooldown)
Night ability 2: Mind warp - Target player receives incorrect feedback tonight (unlimited)

Great! Now we just need to deal with the noble. Vote manipulation like what you have on him does not hold its own. And with psychic being a neighborizer now there is no one who reads whispers. I think my version of the noble and merchant as well as their converted versions should be used.

I added your ideas, and I also reworked the Apostle for these changes.

Not giving Apostle mind warp?

I donā€™t think it needs it. Mind Warp is a cool ability, but it isnā€™t essential. Apostle can already fake any social class (except Psychic, but even then it can if it was converted). Just feels like overkill on top of Bribe and Cult Spy.

I really like that Psychic ability, although I would realy much prefer the Noble with Vote Manipulation as I feel that the Merchant REALLY doesnā€™t fit in with the theme of Social classes.

Also, no offense, but the name Con Artist isnā€™t too desirable for me.

But Psychic seems really Good, I would love to play it

And Iā€™d suggest, for the Priest, to add in a day ability, Seance, from my reworks thread. Because looking at it, that Death Knight seems heavily nerfed in power.

And I would like to suggest some other names for the converted Merchant (If thatā€™s what weā€™re really going with although I like a Scribe and Forger more for whispers and messages and Noble for vote manipulation).

How about Crook, Thief, Scoundrel?

They all deal with faking people out of money or stealing it.

I like Scribe and Forger. It seems to fit the game more.

I nerfed the Death Knight so that it wasnā€™t OP. I think Power of the Dead is strong enough to be the main ability. Reanimate is mostly to give the dead something to do after the Priest is converted or dead.

When dead, you may choose a player. You will talk with them freely tonight.

But then again, this was when we set it so removing Psychicā€™s Link Minds was in place.

OH and I propose we change Soulcatcher to Animist, as itā€™s essentially the same thing, Anima being the Latin root for Soul, Spirit, Life.

(And plus, Animist sounds a lot more formal and daunting than Soulcatcher.)
