Basically BD/BR Aligned Amnesiac from ToS/SC2 Mafia, but I think it would work well

Page can become a Sellsword

For train, i recommend saying that the Squire cannot become a unique role or a Squire, to save space. Otherwise, this is a simple but solid class.

The Squire can become a Possessor

or at least, that’s my intention

Should that change?

I’m unsure, I don’t know how that would affect the balance. Ask a dev.

So there’s two options to make it so this isn’t too BD-sided

  1. Make the Squire BD and make it so it can only become a BD Class(also remove notification) - Boslof says this is the best option
or 2. Make Squire bypass the BR and Cult limits, but make it Unique - Awaiting opinion of Boslof

What do?

Boslof says the Neutral version wouldn’t really be viable
So BD it is!

So basically it’s a faction-specific Amnesiac.

It was always an Amnesiac

this is basically one night ultimate werewolf’s copy cat

Literally nothing like it

This is basically Tos’s amnesiac

This is basically a class put together by Ruby that has been successful in Forum of Lies, and a Class I wouldn’t mind seeing in Throne of Lies.

It is amnesiac but death immune

Norm, you’re practically just saying what has already been said by Ruby herself…

I love the idea, and would love to see this “copy dead persons class” mechanic in the game.

The only issue I’d have is the death immune mechanic.
When making a class you have to think about how people would play it/ play around its strengths and weaknesses. So here are my concerns:

  • The Squire could just sit there and be immune to death, and would actually be motivated to NOT “train” to a new role since if they did, they would lose their death immunity. Their best strategy would be to just hang out and wait till “late game” to finally take on a role and go from there. The Evils would just convert him if they find out he is death immune and would most likely end with him being on their side.

  • My Solution: Give him death/ night immunity but only for first 3 nights. This would motivate him to train himself onto one of the earlier dead targets, unless he wants to take on the risk and keep waiting for a better option.

I do love this class concept and it would be interesting if a Squire is put up for lynching and has to defend themselves as basically nothing. They could confirm by taking on a dead role then doing that action over multiple nights though. Very interesting. The unkillable at night just seems to strong, especially for someone who could be an Evil that is unkillable.

It would then become a viable Mastermind claim.

just make it a one-time death immunity like priest
