to what?

Like the Knight with cold steel, choose to kill. I did not notice the typo until now.

Why not Archer?

Depend which faction you’re talking about.

Longbowman seems redundant. I like Skirmisher

Updated.

What does between the eyes do?

Unlike the Blue Dragon counterpart, Skirmishers have no consequences.

So I am going to update ‘Fire!’ and ‘Between the eyes’ description to explain these are abilities to kill players at night.

Easy to learn, but hard to control yourself. The fact that Archer won’t get punished by killing innocent BD’s does not mean Archer will able to claim like that to get away with.

You can argue this is scum claim with high risk.

this seems like a less versatile knight that converts into a less versatile assassin

I’m not sure I understand the “you will not be notified if your target lives or dies” statement. Isn’t it obvious if they lived or died the following day?

@Sketch This is statement that Archer / Skirmisher doesn’t check to confirm target being eliminated or alive, which that’s just for suspension by next day to find out.

Otherwise there’s no need to remind you to activate bypassing night immunity ability by next day.

It’s different than Knight and Assassin just saying.

Archer doesn’t die out of suicide by killing normal BD roles, however with claim like that get you likely executed for treason and it’s worse by killing BD King, Prince and Princess will get Archer take his life out in following night, one use of Piercing Arrow is more balanced because BD won’t need Prince or execution for treason to get rid of MM and then NK in two nights and that will certainly unfair advantage with two uses.

For Skirmisher, allowing Unseen to kill two targets at single night gives them unfair advantage to thin out majority of BD quicker than Unseen and Neutral Killing combined. The Skirmisher is so talented killer that bypasses most of protection abilities except for Heal which gives Physician the counter to Skirmisher, otherwise he doesn’t require much help to eliminate the target.

I could argue to increase the uses from 1 to 2 for Piercing Arrow and 2 to 3 for Nightshade Arrow, but that might make them just OP than already is.

that’s what I said
it’s less versatile

there is no reason why you would want an archer rather than a knight
knight can protect which pierces immunity on, say, a possessor that you couldn’t even find to kill as the Archer
also if the knight fucks up he dies
if the archer fucks up he kills a blue dragon and THEN has the ability to fuck up again
you can kill the Psychic, the Sheriff and the Hunter and cap it all off by killing the Prince and then yourself
the Knight is objectively better

and the Assassin is better than the Skirmisher because
A. Infinite Nightshade means infinite immunity piercing
B. You are told if your target is immune
C. If the Skirmisher is brought it when the assassin is alive he has literally no use at night
D. Assassin doesn’t get prevented from killing by being visited by the Physician

Skirmisher bypasses the entire night immunity unlike the assassin, if not entirely by Heal that fight against the poison. Skirmisher will be racking kills that no protection is safe from harm. Even Neutral Killers can’t defend against that.

No use at night while Assassin is alive or make Unseen always win from killing power alone.

As I said, Archer can have bypassing night immunity does not mean they will go on killing rampage. It’s the player that need to control themselves.

And both of them can be killed.

Skirmisher does nothing until assassin dies. Weak.

Making Skimirsher kill different target than Assassin? Überhaupt.

No, that would be to strong.

Strong isn’t the correct word, overpowered is.
