Arete is a little bit weird, it is like she is just trying to act like a town by telling what people should do and what not to do, a.k.a town leader qualities. And when she is voted, she became a little bit defensive, which is not to my likings.

Leafia and the rest is, welp, dunno how to think about them, but will follow up later.

I will not be buying this. Arete. In fact, I won’t be buying anything.

I have no clue what I’m doing and I don’t want to have 3 votes.

But from this post, I am pretty sure that if Arete is indeed, a scum (in a world, that is), then Wazza won’t be directly aligned with them.

I am not really sure how to read Moleland, but some fluffing is a little bit meh in my eyes, but null for now.

Leafia seems slight town in my mind with his call out to Surge and Chili.

Pointing out this fact, which, while it could easily be scum trying to undermine a clear on me, I think it much more likely comes from someone who has experience with me purposefully replicating my town meta as scum to get townread (see FoL30).

Contrarian read. This goes for everyone, but I wholeheartedly believe scum wouldn’t just randomly toss out a contrarian read against someone who is known to be a pretty good townplayer. This is obviously irrelevant if Arete is scum, but as I’ve already said, I don’t believe in that world atm.

Overall, a very strong ISO, although short. High content/post ratio.

Alice’s claim that she’s gonna 100% side town is probably false
If she is noot, then they’re gonna get to endgame pretty easily
Possibility exists that she is scum, and noot won’t step up

Point 2 on if she is actually the noot - when she gets to endgame, it’s better for her to be scum-aligned (generally)

Although the discussion of mechanics and balance is technically off-topic, I do not believe it lacks significance. In a world where Alice is lying, this would be noot and scum signalling to each other.

is an unlikely theory to come from scum. it’s such an out-there thought that i can’t see a wolf trying to reach for here precisely because i don’t understand it. reading a discussion about game balance as signalling is…not something that would’ve ever occurred to me.

on this topic, i’d like to ask cloned to clarify who exactly he thinks is signalling here. are you saying that an Arete/Light team is the case if Alice is telling the truth about her claim? you say her actions make sense as the neutral, though i’d still like clarification on which world you deem more likely.

Conduit, i’d advise against locking this in until we discuss Arete’s plan further.
it’s useless without everybody participating as only one scum needs to sit out to purchase the vig shot.

Hard-claiming 3p Survivor and never rescinding. Lynch me if another 3p flips.

Obviously, I’m going to town-side here as that’s basically the best way for me to endgame after publicly claiming 3p. Wolves should not kill me here as that’s a waste of a KP as you can just achieve parity faster by killing only villagers, while the village would just be wasting a day if they lynch me. So yeah, I’m basically just planning on cruising to endgame while posting reads so town will figure that I’m better alive than dead.

This is an interesting claim. I don’t quite buy it and it makes me sus of Alice even more, but I won’t quite trust Alice even if they act like they are town siding and truthful because a survivor role wins by living till the end. I might would trust it if they became a VT by choosing to townside, but I don’t think Alice would “go down with the ship” when the scum most likely get close to winning.

It’s not just that. I felt that the Eli townlean was done with a fairly weak reasoning being that I’ve seen him post a lot more as wolf as well.

I feel like Arete’s read is weak, but Eli is kind of like Seth in that regard and I don’t really disagree with said read.

A survivor is typically a third party noot that wins by living at the end, so if Alice is legit they can’t join the scum chat.

I have neglected this thread, but I am going to be a bit more active tomorrow. I don’t want to primarily focus on Alice and I feel like my opener did, but I think I have said all I want to say on Alice. I actually wouldn’t mind seeing Alice flip today. We don’t have much to lose here. If it’s 3 scum vs 11 vs 1 then we can still have a chance of getting rid of a potential powerwolf today and still being able to hunt the other 3. If Alice lives closer to lylo or mylo then she will never get lynched and can powerwolf without consequences (in mylo lynching a survivor noot over scum is just bad play and thus Alice wouldn’t get lynched for siding with wolves). Town Alice wouldn’t have to pull this bs, so I think this claim comes from scum or an actual noot.

So with these and this discussion here, we’ve pretty much put Alice claiming town-sided noot in the minority, because it’s a less favorable situation. Then why is she doing it?

Option 1: They are actually the noot. This is the more unlikely case in my opinion, because it would not change the fact that they are a neutral; when all scum gets rooted out, she’s going to be left all alone.

Option 2: They are scum, posing as the noot. By providing information that noot has a better chance with scum (or having scumteam members pass on that information), they lightly signal the noot to join their cause.

In both cases, Alice would be actively signalling for scum alignment. Who was involved in this discussion of balance?

Except that in the case I’m a wolf fakeclaiming 3p then they could just CC and get me lynched.

We have 3 worlds:

1. Alice is noot telling the truth. This is unlikely, since she would know that it would not be easy to play townsided noot.
2. Alice is noot that is not committed. Scum would try and convince noot that the scum cause is easier.
3. Alice is scum. Then either they or their teammates would try and convince the noot.

In worlds 2 and 3, we have signalling going on; I sense 1 culprit.
