That’s unfortunately due to this site meta.

It’s… not exactly easy to sort out wolf from LHF when intentionally acting wolfy, defending wolves, and then self-voting and AtE’ing when suspected is a common village play here.

(I do actually have thoughts on some of the ways play there was different than here that aren’t just ‘players there were better and also trying harder for obvious reasons’ but this thread is probably not the place for them, and also it’s almost 3 AM)

I mean it’s not like there’s some magical lesson I learned in champs that would make villagers on our site better besides either (a) the obvious things people have been saying for six months or (b) ‘if players are better then town wins more often’

the thing I was actually thinking about when I made that post is that in champs people treat people putting in a lot of work analyzing things or whatever as something that’s both valuable, and something whose conclusions are worth taking seriously (the grammar of that sentence is super fucky but hopefully you got what I meant?)

whereas here most people treat 99 percent of people’s analyses as a thing to read the person who posted it on, and nothing else

and to a certain extent I think that’s because … extensive, well-thought-out analysis here by most players is still only accurate at a rate basically equal to rand … and so it makes sense that people don’t take it as seriously

but I also think that has meaningful effects on how people approach the game? if that makes sense
