My issue with that take is that Mole’s wolf play involves a shit-ton of theater, so I usually don’t bother taking associatives in mind with him.

a thought that vaguely occurred to me is that I’m not sure if wolf!Trochi would come into a thread where she’s second wagon and Wazza is top wagon, and immediately start defending Wazza (when she was next in line)

not positive this applies since (a) we’re talking about 3 votes vs. 2 votes, which is not very many and (b) this ignores the possibililty of them being W/W, but
