I think I might have worded the ability wrong. The person you select will NOT get the ability’s effect. It only gives your next empower (night ability) a random effect. Its like copying a player’s advantages and giving them to another for one night.

Example:

  • 4 is outed drunk.
  • 6 is outed sheriff
  • You use Mimic on 4. 4 does NOT get any effects.
  • The next night you use empower on 6. Along with the normal effect of getting correct results, 6 will also be occupy immune for the night.

Basically its a way for the CW to choose what effect to give to a player.

No, and I literally just went through why this general idea solves the issue. I don’t know how to make it any more clear. Most the other reworks have the same issue as the current CW.

I like the new rework, but how about giving it the ability to choose which effect to give to a target, even if its limited? Something similar to his Siphon ability.

Day Ability - Mimic (2 uses) - Select a player. Your next empower will give additional effects based on said player’s class in addition to its normal effects. You will not know what you get.
Offensive / Special – Empower target will be occupation immune
Killer / Support – Empower target will be death immune
Social / Investigative – Empower target will be conversion immune

Example:

  • 4 is outed drunk.
  • 6 is outed sheriff
  • You use Mimic on 4. 4 does NOT get any effects.
  • The next night you use empower on 6. Along with the normal effect of getting correct results, 6 will also be occupy immune for the night.

I think allowing CW to potentially be able to use any of the buffs to any player regardless of his class would make him more engaging to play as.

One thing I definitely like. Is that it is very easy to tweak this in various ways without completely reworking the class. That is the biggest advantage to this by far.

Well if you have any other ideas for what buffs Empower can give, I’m all ears. The one I think would really need replaced most is the Offensive one, since it is the least likely to really help.
