Court Wizard Contest Results

You gotta make it:

O/S - Target will be death immune
K/S - Target will be conversion immune
S/I - Target will be occupy immune

How about you give me a rework then? And don’t give me the time mage one.

Let me guess: The time mage isn’t possible to code?

It is possible, but it is just another healer essentially, which heavily impacts balance.

Yeah, thing is… you are probably correct right now.
But one of the healers, the Alchemist, is part of a larger problem, I think…
Boslof, what do your stats suggest about the impact of specific neutrals towards win probabilities?

The more attack prevention abilities there are in the game that are controlled by BD the more annoying the game gets for evils.

I was trying to think of a way to make the CW about attack prevention.

Fool winrate-100 % BD are dumb)
Sorc (1%)
Inquistor (98% believe it or not the times Inquistor dies with the sorc dead as well is the 1 percent)
Scorned 100%
Alch 50% (100% with cat death note)

Proven facts

It should be mentioned that this rework contest was never just about power or balance. In terms of actual power levels, CW was only slightly underpowered. This rework is about increasing the fun value of CW while fixing some of the balance problems it had.

Right. I think that this version isn’t really bad but might need some tweaks.
CW changes in bold.

Day Ability - Siphon (2 uses) – Gain protection the next two nights based on the target’s class type. Can’t target same player twice. You will not know what you get.
Offensive/ Special– CW will be occupation and redirection immune
Killer / Support – CW will be death immune
Social / Investigative – CW will be conversion immune
Social / Special – Nothing
Night Ability - Empower (unlimited uses) – Give a target a boost tonight based on the target’s class type. Will give additional feedback if it actually helps the player.
Killer – Target will be death immune <-change the type of the Prince to Special
Offensive – Target’s abilities bypass occupation immunity
Support – Target will be occupation immune
Social – Target will be conversion immune
Investigative – Target’s abilities will return correct results regardless of counter abilities (frame, etc. Does not affect passive abilities. )
Special - Nothing
Night Ability - Tornado (2 uses) - Swap players. Bypasses redirection immunity.

Reason for changes:
-It is far too easy to confirm a Social class; and being tricked by the Fool/Scorned should not give you Conversion Immunity. You should not be rewarded for targeting leaders.
Offensive classes are usually confirmable anyways.
Support and Killer remain in the same category, but you will have to actually find them.
It is now no longer possible to rat out Specials as non- investigative via a Bulter check.

Prince to Special- The Prince is a mix of offensive social and Killing capacities, and this prevents CW being a boring “always protect Prince” class.

That seems like a good plan, actually

But I’m not sure I like Social doing nothing

Hah i wanna see this guy come up with something balanced.

It’s funny because it’s wrong.

That’s obvious. Fool cannot have 100%- they are frequently being targeted Night One.

Why not? It is a 2-use ability. If you use it randomly day 2 then you don’t have any good argument on why you should get some benefits. If you are trusting the wrong ppl(if you target fool/scorned/CL/MM) then neither.

Changing the Prince’s type to Special has other implications, such as the Princess’ Flirt and other investigative abilities that rely on class type.

Balanced is easy if you know what you’re doing

I don’t think Prince being Spec/Invest is bad

And having Duchess find it as Special is great tbh

Well when the Princess stumbled upon a Killer/Offensive, then they are probably gonna get outted right away.

tbf that could be

Drunk
Butler
Knight
Hunter

Alongside Assassin and NK

And CL isn’t even Killer so

Although your point is definitely valid

Well clearly you and him don’t know what you are doing.
