Hmmm… Well, it could easily still be a lever even if it was jammed into the balcony.
In fact, it would make it a safer lever to use.
It was wedged/jammed into the balcony floor hanging off the edge on the other side of the railing
Oh, it might have been a lever for doing something. But it wouldn’t have been done quickly by Marshal as a hook when he is falling. That’s my point.
