So I am kinda struggling with this ‘bastard’ reference.

I have played a lot and on a lot of sites and ‘Bastard’ is used to refer to the hosts ability to lie and influence the game. Maybe you guys just have a different meaning but there is no way a Jester is a ‘bastard role’ as large communities use the term imo.

I don’t consider Jester a bastard role personally. To me bastard is anything that mechanically deceives the player such as tailors, framers, insanizers, godfathers etc.

Jester punishes town for playing according to town’s win condition (lynching scummy players).
This discussion can be held in a thousand places, but Osie says she considers Jester to be bastard-like. So enough of this pointless discussion.

So, I just checked “a certain person’s” categorization of FMs and since I believe that Jester’s ability doesn’t make the host lie about alignment checks nor convert other alignments, it shouldn’t be a bastard role. (Unless you claim its ability to be “changing the game mechanics”, but that’s somewhat of a grey zone.)

You got the reactions, but what’s its worth? I know they are not 100% scum-indicative, because anyone who didn’t like your gung-ho behavior would’ve wanted to PL you, even if it would’ve resulted in a ML.

Dude, at the time of that post it was 20 minutes after the game started. You were in a hurry to end RVS that quickly? A majority of the playerbase hadn’t even checked in yet, and IMO 46/45 hours is plenty of time to find scum.

Plus, I think you’re undervaluing the ability of the RVS to catch scum. I’ve caught and cleared town out of RVS before, so it’s definitely not a useless phase.

“Are we still in RVS as we speak?”

While I understand that “RVS” is a topic to be talked about, and maybe even a reason to vote Helz who wants it to end ASAP…
Does it really matter if we don’t actually apply it?

–I can talk about how I agree with Helz about the need of creating reason from nothing, and I can also disagree with Helz about how “random voting” should never be something that can end with a snap (mainly because I love CFD-reads), but… where even are we right now?
