“I don’t even know if that dream will ever come back… We’ll see.”
Why does it hurts me so much to see kids holding weapons?
“A prophet, then”
Gavin just eyes his father’s weapon, a red mist shimmering from each end. He squeezes both ends tight…
He wants to lash out at the ground but he knows he can’t. Not in front of everyone. What if more fire came out? He couldn’t risk it.
"H-Hey, Annie lets go and heads to Gavin “W-whats your name?”
Gavin grunts. That’s the only response he gives.
“Hrmph? Thats a great name! Nice to meet you Hrmph! I’m Annie” She holds out her other hand, the one without the sword in it.
Gavin just looks straight ahead and pulls the nunchuck taut.
“W-Why…can…can you not speak?”
“I think he’s just not a talker. He’s clearly talked before.”
“O-Oh. D-do you trust Hrmph brother?”
“…My house burnt down.”
“…I saw my parents’ burnt bodies.”
“…I’m holding the only remaining physical memory of my father.”
“…”
“…And you expect me to talk to you?”
“You’re sounding like you’re the only one that has gone through such a tragedy. We’re all stuck in the same situation and yet all you focus on is yourself!”
Andrei grips tighter to the staff which seems to give off a small blue light
“Well buddy we’re allstuxk in this doo doo together! Might as well try to get along?”
“STOP INVALIDATING ME!”
Gavin whips the air with the nunchuck.
A smouldering line arcs off and hits a nearby tree, dissipating.
“Jeez calm down. I just wanna talk”
“WE’RE DONE TALKING.”
Gavin folds his arms and stares unmovingly ahead of him.
He turns towards Annie and whispers to her
“If he ever tries to lay a finger on you, say the word and I’ll take care of him, okay?”
Dawa had two siblings, Nicol and Raiji. Nicol was about half the age of all of you, when Raiji was still just a baby. With the screaming, Nicol tangled herself to his leg and Raiji started to cry. He looked at Gavin with a deadly gaze, and said nothing more.
She whispers back “he’s probably acting tough but is really a softie that wouldnt hurt an ant”
He gives a small giggle “Deep inside, he’s pretty much the same as me except I’m more willing to accept my weakness.”
