on the face of it this project seems to have been presented as a means of training the brightest (magical) students

map shows trochi was identified as a subject from the martell cathedral, probably nightingale too since they claim to have an ult which needs them to take tongues, maybe marl because of the concert hall? that one’s a bit of a stretch though. also min’s mansion lol - which describes them as a benefactor and a subject - so they’re funding this project to some extent (lol)

min came here because they paid (referred to as nepotism in the article jane found) but i imagine they have an actual talent as well(?)

the organisation supposedly used illicit methods or ‘arcane embezzlement’ to finance this project (as seen in the clipboard i found) and outside of the game my character is investigating this under the request of his father (who is an MP [government person, for US people] ruling on the case)

amelia is part of some magic cult thing with their father doing something i still don’t understand this so you’ll have to ask them
there’s also this thing which suggests several of us have relatives working against the organisation behind this - and also that ultimates are apparently getting killed (who would’ve thought?)

we’ve all met this guy called timoleon silverheart who’s listed as the ultimate banker but we don’t know much about him other than what Monoluna told us with how he thought '“true magic was dying out in the world and strong mages need to carry the flame through to the next generation at any cost”

i have no idea how to explain any of the magic shit about the 3 fates and the pearl so unless anyone else has got any ideas we’re gonna have to wait
also this scratching hasn’t been posted yet: “theyre closing in. tim’s talking to the fates. i think tim has my son. i throw myself on the mercy of the magic circle” (there was also a nameplate saying Nicholas Arden - presumably amelia’s father)
wait wtf i was reading over my old notes and it says at some point jane found a photo in the Bank Office of an unfamiliar man which on the back said ‘Timoleon Silverheart’ in bad handwriting: “He looks old, and is wearing a luxurious-looking dinner jacket. He wears a monocle, and is holding a cane. Atop this cane is a strange diorama, showing three hooded figures, one holding a pair of scissors, one holding a measuring tape, and one holding a ball of string.” (3 hooded figures could be the 3 fates)

because ici made it obvious we should use this time to discuss lore and we’ve hardly been doing anything
Again, lorewise I only found nerd stuff like that ultimate is being inherited genetically.
So children’s of ultimate have high chances to also be an ultimate.
(this is obviously what it is fyi)
