DR5 - Mirrored Embers - Chapter Six - Finale [Surviving Participants + Jane win]

we know that the bottle was always a cyanide bottle
so why does anyone having any other poisons mean anything

katze presents a bent skewer

(arete you coward that’s not all)

As you look closer at this skewer, you see horrifying implications.

It’s bent into the shape of a middle finger.

What have we become, friends?

All I could tell was that it’s a poison that kills in 24 hours. Symptoms would first appear after 16 poison, and would immobilize the victim after 23 hours.

Apparently I can’t tell what it is because it isn’t a known poison.

I also think most of the poisons you had are… medium tier?

Like they are effective, but detectable and well known.
And… heallable tbh.

Imagine me injecting someone directly with methanol.
Dead, undetectable in 1-2 hours after injection.
That’s it.
Even drinking a bit of it would be deadly.

Plus healing it literallly needs blood cleaning by special hospital machinery (which I doubt we have here).
While healing after cyanide poisoning… is kinda possible.

Cyanide sucks as poison in modern society.

Okay?

That sounds interesting.

yeah that’s what it told me when i identified it

time for another reality check
how is it fair that there’s an instantly-acting poison when i got this crappy 24 hour one

Well, what’s the alternative?

yeah i don’t know
that’s why i was so insistent on considering it to be some magic bullshit because trochi was a witch

(hey you can’t call him that!!!

please laugh)

24 hour one is MUCH better?

24 hour one allows the person to say where they got it from, when, who was with them, etc
plus they can find an antidote possibly
this one just instantly kills you

You just poison food in buffet and that’s it?

And hten walk around waiting till someone eats something there?

you can still find an antidote
and there’s nothing stopping you from doing that with cyanide either

(cyanide kills pretty fucking fast

if you’re not prepared i’d say its Not Easy to find an antidote)

Except in opposite to cyanide, you actually don’t know what antidote is and even what would be signs of being poisoned.

no i meant for poison i had
that’s why cyanide is better

well yeah depends what the symptoms are
