I would like to go on record and state that I do not remember Steph ever exhibiting the pain response from looking at the ink. I recall myself, Harleck, Alyx, Alison and Dennis looking at the ink.
See, I don’t remember Arthur being in pain from looking at the ink either, and I know he looked at it because he’s the first one I recall pointing out which different colors were on PKR’s face.
That was actually part of the reason I spent so long thinking the ink was activated by touch, rather than sight. And based on that, I’m inclined to establish a PoE of exactly Arthur and Steph, because the two of them claim looking at the ink and not exhibiting any sort of pain response, and I doubt they could just tough it out if they were experiencing it.
(Yes, I know you’re clearing Arthur, the point of that statement is more that the PoEs seem to overlap on exactly Steph.)
I wish we’d had time for one more test; namely, that Steph and someone else look at the ink at the same time, because now I’m curious to know if the person who placed the ink looking at it somehow disables its effects for anyone else who looks at it at that time. If we’d had that, I think we could very effortlessly execute Steph here.
