alyx shrugs
“Admittedly, I was wrong. But you told one lie, one fatal slip… by telling me that you disposed of a piece of paper in your shower. You let me in your dorm. You showed me what you had in there, as evidence that you were innocent. You pointed out your machete, citing that to be a more preferable murder weapon. But there were other items in your dorm. A mirror, a lighter…”
“and an ink case!”
“Unfortunately, this was two weeks ago. My memory isn’t photo realistic, I’m not able to just scroll up in my head and tell you exactly what everything looked like. But the purpose of the case was clear. They’re both made of wood, and from what I remember, they’re the same size.”
