okay look i might be overextolling my idea a bit, but some of the True Endings will surely incentivise people to kill in interesting and wacky ways, which are both more interesting to investigate and just
overall way cooler

when people kill using strange methods the investigation is overall more interesting because the question of “How” exactly the crime happened is just. an interesting thing to answer.
Umm… has there ever been a solvable poison murder in a DR game on this site?
Troch’s death in DR2 was kind of obvious, but somehow people decided to just lolkillitaly in the end.
to be fair the PoE in DR5-3 was down to exactly the Blackened and the victim, and they chose the victim for some reason
but overall, poison as a sole method of murder is bad, and there should be some other element in the murder as a requirement.
Technically the MM teammates there worked way too well to the point that Katze and Cent both managed to win in the first chapter.
the killer’s method was to mislabel a bottle of cyanide as a “Wisdom Potion” which increased the drinker’s INT. the Mastermind of that game drank it. not on purpose, by the way.
the problem was that the killer forgot that handwriting was a thing and wrote the label in their honest handwriting.
because of this a whole bevy of people were cleared, a bunch of other people were cleared due to having no way to have placed the poison (a lot of these clears were false since the poison was planted in the previous chapter, but i digress), and it was down to either:
- Jane placed the poison
- Trochi picked up the poison and drank it knowing it was cyanide
They chose the latter because they didn’t want to kill Jane, considering their talent as the Ultimate Toxicologist.
