Hippo’s D1 didn’t seem scummy in particular, since they were just memeing around while also pointing out things about the wagons, people’s reads etc. and I had more reasons to think others were more suspicious. It was a mistake on my part.

Okay, so you say that he wasn’t being actively scummy on D1 and you found other people more suspicious, but you had him as your fourth-highest townread (later dropped to fifth-highest) which seems weird from a position of ‘not as scummy as other people’ unless you thought everyone below him (i.e. most of the game) was being scummy.
