DRX - Mirrored Embers - 0/16

the interesting property is that it teleports people but doesn’t teleport discarded items
which
might be useful for murder

does it teleport items at all

because otherwise it feels like it might be difficult to … have items

it teleports items in inventories, held, or worn
not items left on the floor
that’s what i mean

The main reason these exist, though, is because if you try to walk off the map (which is surrounded by fog) you get a simmilar option to teleport to the opposite side. Like wrap-around levels in old arcade games.
I doubt people will notice this, but it’s a feature that I think would be really cool, if niche.

So I thought including some obvious signal that walking through mist teleports you would be an interesting puzzle.

doing the spreadsheet shouldn’t be too hard, but I’m probably going to be occupied over the coming days by the fact that I’m actually back in GMT, so I guess I have to “go to online lessons” again now.

i’ve just queued the game given that design is nearly finished and it’s good for hype purposes

Here is what I have regarding the spreadsheet so far. Feel free to add to it all you like.

we should put ‘if you’re the Mastermind, and all the non-blackened participants vote correctly, the trial succeeds’ in either the Mastermind’s card or the OP

oh yeah that’s right
that’s probably information for the OP
hold on

just to be clear
is this “if everyone votes for the Mastermind correctly the trial succeeds” or

no like

if it’s a Normal ™ trial

and all the participants vote for the actual blackened

then the trial is a success even if they have less voting power than the blackened + the MM

to prevent weird F4 interactions like almost happened in DR3

oh right yeah that makes sense

okay sorry to suddenly bump this on main but
i have to put this here because it’s a) a really cool history fact and b) technically useful for this game

…have you heard of a German Knife-Sword called a Messer? It’s a sword that’s constructed like a knife because in the 15th century it was illegal for non-aristocrats to carry swords, so rich peasants just extended the size of a knife until it was effectively a sword as a loophole

and i’m just thinking… what if we put one in the game as a hidden reward, put historical details regarding it in the game, and then if someone killed using it we could report it in the Monokuma file as a Knife Wound™ and part of the mystery could be figuring out “hey what if it was actually a Messer”

okay that’s enough of that
