I personally see where you’re thinking, but I don’t really think it’s fair to call someone’s opinion dumb, considering I myself don’t think it’s a bad read because I think he’s acting townie to me and I’m not being reminded much at all of his scum games.

so their knowledge of class cards is inconsistent
but from the headspace of a neutral, the things they check over make sense
they
- know that missionary doesn’t exist
- don’t know that df doesn’t exist
so what I think happened was that they checked the king tab for neutral king, read passives, then the night ability, all the while assuming decide fate existed

if they were scum, they are probably wanting to weigh the benefits and downsides of becoming king more before jumping in
so they’d actually read the whole card
