Do you have any idea how FRUSTRATING it was to be called bad at the game when I was trying to improve. Do you know how FRUSTRATING it is to be called SCUM for trying to play better. Do you know how FRUSTRATING it is to try to get better when everyone has in their mind that you are a troller, a bad player, and immature.

I went into the negatives of reputation when I decided I want to improve. I got upset at certain posts mocking me when I was trying to improve, sometimes I showed frustrating to these posts. Most of the times I kept it inside knowing it would be worth it to try to improve myself.

I dug myself out a grave I built and then I built a house. You don’t have a hole to dig yourself out of, you can start building the house right now.

Every game I would ask people how I can improve my game. I would go to different people using discord and ask them how to improve my game. That’s how I started building my house. By figuring out what I did wrong and what I did right and try to do more of the right stuff.

Most people here wouldn’t put that much effort into improving their game.

Most people here wouldn’t look at their games and look at what they did wrong and what they did right and try to improve that way.

Most people here wouldn’t go to other “skilled” players on this forum and ask them constantly what they can improve on.

Most people here would be happy staying at their skill level.

The skilled people here on this forum aren’t most people. That’s what separates us from average players. Now the real question is.

Would you put that much effort in trying to improve your game? Would you ask different people on discord how you can improve. Would you look at your game reads and look at which reads were right, and look at why they were right.

No one is going to help you improve if you don’t ask them first. You need to show a willingness to want to improve. That’s how you improve. There’s no gigantic secret here. It is just what it is. Everyone can be a good player if they did what I did. But most wont

The reason I went AFK for a bit was trying to find a post of mine similar to the one you posted, because your post reminded me how I felt when I was getting called bad.

About to be gone for a bit will be back later

stop being my younger me, that’s … scary

The best place to hide is in insanity. It’s as true as it says, if everyone is confused people can be manipulated.

The key to playing scum is know your opponents. You need to know what they expect of you, what do they town read you for whenever you play together, what do they scumread you for whatever you play for.

If I don’t know a player, I’ll see how they react to when I play normally. I then adapt my play depending on how they perceive me, as in changing my play style a little bit each time they scumread me until I figure out what do they town read and then I pocket them heavily.

So it’s obvious when I’m scum just because I lack like

Happiness

My motivation is for the thrill of tricking people

But why? Playing scum is totally great… it’s way better than playing town, in my eyes

I don’t really get that thrill, or haven’t pulled it off yet at the very least.

Yea same.

I also feel like I’m pulling double duty. My total amount of posts in scumchat + public thread is usually the same as when I’m town in public thread. I feel responsible for my whole team and also want to coordinate their positions/actions.

I’ll show you later when something happens

As town you don’t know anything. You just feel lost. Embarassed. You have to win somehow by doing random things. And they will mislynch you anyways.
As scum you have all power. You can make them believe what you want.

:eyes:

Scum is fun because you don’t actually have to make nerve wracking decisions
All you need to do is just do exactly what people think scum you won’t do then take that to the bank

As town you get the thrill of lynching scum and being able to fit together the puzzle that is the game.

Catching little scumtells and piecing together the scumteam
