Fake-Claiming on Trial

I only played 2800 games, I guess I’m just doing it wrong

But my experience is the same. If you aren’t a really experienced player who has made themselves a lots of thoughts, fake claiming as BD almost always hurts BD more than it helps.

Why don’t you prove that fake claiming as BD on stand is useful?

To be fair. I’d buy that only 3% of players are both:

A: Experienced enough to know how to fake claim as BD properly enough.

and

B: In a situation where it is actually helpful to do so.

Since nearly all players aren’t experienced and the players that are experienced don’t fake claim as BD very often because outside of some specific situations they know it isn’t their best move.

Reminds me of when I named myself “Totally not MM”
randed princess
Each day I would out my results in an outrageously alarming manner
my results were trash.
Knight CSed me.
Still Princess. Never lied.

Knight CS’ing someone immune? Wow

At least on my time they did it all the time. I never understood the thought process. Killing two innocents or discovering someone you would lynch anyway is immune?

Any kind of prestige given to “always tell the truth as BD on stand” will heavily influence people to continue metas where they up only for claims. In my opinion, this is a lazy and uninteractive gameplan (not that different from WKM). If the game design follow this same lead, the meta will always be like this, hence some of the reasons why I dropped the game. I mean, why there was a change to not being able to edit logs at stand again?

So it is right to punish experienced players for trying experienced plays?

You might want to read again what I wrote.

What about softing evil as BD than backsliding to gain extra confirmability?

The rules are not made to punish 500iq plays. They are made because in almost 99% of all cases the person who fake claims on stand straight up throws. Classic example is the Hunter who fake claims or doesn’t claim at all, because arrowing people seems to be fun.

Makes sense.
Once I saw a Hunter arrow the king after claiming Cult Leader.

So you judge it on a case by case basis. That’s what we did when I was a guide, and it’s what makes logical sense.

Unless the mods are just lazy (and I know for a fact that they’re not) there’s no reason why they shouldn’t do that, considering that the playerlist is declining slightly currently so there shouldn’t be any MORE reports.
