FAM Final Main Thread - Game Over - Mafia + Imperials win!

Such impactful lyrics for play here.

Anyway, I have a question.

What should I have done to get you to listen to me? Asking villagers here. I know the wolves’ plan was to discredit and gaslight me to hell and back, so I was hoping to appeal to villagers specifically. My day 4 agenda was to flip the script and stand against kat/orange’s tyranny, but that didn’t really work out, as shown by the game’s result.

Basically, how should I have approached the situation to be more persuasive and potentially turn the game around?

I’ve already explained that I opened the gift with GGhana’s bomb because I felt like my words were hollow and didn’t reach the villagers. But that could’ve probably been avoided somehow.

How?

I don’t have respect for town killers that have no trouble to kill without worrying about consequences. By the time you died, well I am set to tunnel GGhana. That is until the very last day that GGhana have mechanically confirmed.

I also dont want to admit that Orange still have me on PoE as red flag, that is not enough proof to press on.

You didn’t really reach out to me directly. I think we vibed well when we did talk and it helped both our reads. #timezones maybe. I just woke up to oh i guess Vulgard suicided.

Ngl if there wasn’t a quickhammer, maybe I would have cased Orange after work, but the Slowlic rings true I suppose.

That was a wrong call. I opened the gift on my volition, and GGhana even signaled giving the gift to me before he actually did it. A wolf would’ve never opened it, knowing it carried a risk of death, so GGhana’s gift target didn’t actually matter much. Me opening it didn’t make GGhana a wolf who tricked me or anything.

You could have wolfread GGhana for other things, but that part wasn’t alignment indicative.

This is also on me not engaging more with players I trusted. I was mostly in a perpetual state of catchup.

Aka I’m not fit for mashes or didn’t play like a mash requires.

I’m also sad we didn’t get to vibe much in the thread. The “we weren’t in the thread together very often” part holds true.

I suppose I could’ve approached you a bit more directly. The biggest extent of me interacting with you directly was when I first called you town and put you in my towncore upon realizing your ISO was short but villagery for you.

That said, you are the last person I want to respond to this inquiry, considering I could tell you were trying to re-evaluate. Besides, you already said that my words did spark a desire to re-read the top posters within you.

and then I was like Vulgard is pocketing me

Haha I should probably really work on my coorporation more.

Can I contact you again when you’re wealthy?

On a more serious note, I’m trying to work on my cooperation a bit more as well, hence my question about what made me not persuasive enough / how I could have been more persuasive.

the people scumreading katze died

Mashes are a bit hectic, to say the least. I think you’d find your place in light games if they were ever hosted here. They are better-suited for people with less time to post.

Directly addressing people works mostly for me. Posting for everyone to read requires them to pick up on it instead of being prompted. Definitely certain players need to be prompted.

Like I could have hypothetically made an ironclad case against Orange, but if I don’t adress players like Cloned or Frost specifically to follow it and ignore what they are currently focusing on, I don’t think it would do anything.

I left katze alone because of the mech confirm from Orange and I only started tinfoiling that team slightly, but had no time to come to it potentially.

It was easier for my brain to accept a reality with an easier player to push than like a 6000 combined posts team with Ghana in their pocket who also hyperposts. Especially with Frost tunneling on Ghana already and my position mostly only defended by Orange lol.

Part of the reason I didn’t go around telling people “look these people / this person is mafia” is the fact telling people “dude trust me” isn’t very persuasive by itself. Therefore, I tried to make broad-reaching statements.

Well don’t say, dude trust me, attach an argument and you just need to engage your townreads to form a block that needs to be addressed. Once a wagon is formed, other players will have to address it as well.

I get that. The crux of my point was that the gamestate didn’t support the idea the PoE was 100% correct. At some point, we ran out of easy kills and the reality was that there were deepwolves. Especially after the Emilia yeet.

I started suspecting it earlier, when I noticed how many wolves kat/orange defended and how many villagers they bulldozed, but yeah.

Mhm, I agree.
