im not saying “postcount tells are perfect” but italy is 10% of the thread today with nearly 100 posts, had 250 posts yesterday, and 150 on D1 (going up from d1 → d2 is notable)

No it works majority of time for people with that type of meta otherwise it wouldn’t be a tell in the first place. Obviously it is going to be wrong sometimes that applies to any read.

if you have a consistent postcount meta you’re a bad player
most players generally attempt to get better at the game
therefore postcount tells tend to get less viable

They get some town equity from voting offwagon here. Not much, but some. Especially GGhana; as much as I hate to admit it, he showed a willingness to bus in his first forum game ever. I find it dubious to claim he wouldn’t hop onto the wagon for juicy bus credit there. You could argue he wasn’t around at EoD (I can’t be arsed to verify rn), but as a wolf, he’d have a bonus reason to be there. To get credit.
You can say this about any read. If we went by this logic then we wouldn’t have reads at all.
