now living near the sea is hell

I just really hate pillagers because they spawn ANYWHERE and you canā€™t live at a village anymore basically

yeah but at the same time sea building is now properly possible.
no ā€œunder water but airlockedā€ necessary

being airlocked is still superior
and the only way to avoid it is if you do some lategamey combat/grinding which Iā€™m no fan of

villages are still totally livable. just dont kill the banners and build a wall to decrease pillagers in the village.

and i dont think its that lategame. like you said the drowned spawn basically everywhere so its not that hard to find shells.

my solution was to build a treetop villa in creative mode, spawn some villages there and live in peace as the dogs bit the trees
living not to appreciate the horizon is anticlimatic imo bc I choose places if they look nice

the fact is that Iā€™m never grinding for combat and 1.13 forces you to combat frequently (if near the sea, not much to lose) and 1.14 forces hard combat everywhere

the fact that pillagers spawn at any light level is pathetic as well
and if you kill one of them you canā€™t return to a village anymore unless you play multiplayer and wait your friends go on for an hour and a half or always carry milk
it is gore.
