There was a disparity in the read, which was the point I was making. The defense of yourself took priority over the initiative to find scum as seen by the lengths of the different sections of the post. That could easily be construed as super scummy.

I wasnt defending myself though. That entire thing was how he shouldnt trust me from that little. it was more like getting him to better himself. The purpose of the first part of that post was not to make myself seem more town at all, just explaining how i think he should do things, along with a brief explanation why i didnt think it alone was worth voting him over. I.e. if he hadnt made the post the first bit was referring to, but still had the second, i would have just posted the same amount and voting him.

I dont like sit down and actively make reads on people. thats just not how i do it. i process what information ive seen on them, and compress that down into a rough probability estimate as to their alignment. and that can (and usually does) take a good bit of time.

but i was though. regardless of how effective it was, that was my purpose. putting some things out there and making it easier to have a discussion. Yeah it was bad, and probably the wrong thing to do, however it remains unchanged that at its core that was my purpose in doing that.

you dont really have enough of a basis to determine whether or not im town. Im not saying you shouldnt trust me, just that you should have reasons for trust me. that said, i dont think your scummy for this, just new to the fm scene, so im not voting you.

I guess that could be the case, but none of the things you did say actually had a real point behind them, which I guess you could construe as your attempts to get discussion going?
