“…when I have a chance to be healed.” --this part makes sense, but has nothing to do with the 1st sentence

…rather, I’m wondering why nobody said anything about the poison.
Like, since nobody claimed to be poisoner, is it because they are villager and fear that they will be tunneled by the mindless mob, or is it simply because the poisoner is evil?
